After fighting against cancer for almost two years, our incredible student, Joey Xu's sweet little heart stopped beating on 11/26/14 at 5:55. Joey played the violin, loved origami, Chinese, art, singing, and math competitions. He was always a happy boy. Joey's family want to invite everybody to come celebrate Joey's life on Friday (12/5) at 4-6pm at North Central Baptist Church (8001 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32606). Joey is a boy full of life and he always picks bright colors in his painting. He would be happy if you dress in bright or your favorite colors. No remains will be present at the service. There will be balloon and origami release at the end, so please arrive on time that we can release the balloons before it gets dark. Joey's family are now in the middle of setting up a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, in honor of Joey. It's called Joey's Wings For Rare Cancers In Children And Young Adults. Joey's Wings is committed to promote, support and fund grants for research into the rare cancers that afflict our children and adolescents. www.joeywings.org Thank you and we will see you on 12/5 at 4pm at North Central Baptist Church. |
